The Strawberry Festival Queen has been a tradition since the inception of the Strawberry Festival. The first Strawberry Festival Queen, Charlotte Rosenberg, was crowned on March 12, 1930. This year the pageant will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, with 29 contestants. The Plant City Lions Club will be holding the pageant at the Grimes Family Agricultural Center. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, there is a limit on how many people can attend in person. In order to accommodate those who are unable to attend The Plant City Lions Club will be selling tickets to watch the pageant from the comfort of your home. All proceeds from the pageant go to the Plant City Lions Club Foundation to help support our local community.
