Polk Virtual School

Polk Virtual School is a free distance learning option offered by Polk County Public Schools. The program is offered to any student in Polk County from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. Polk Virtual School uses Polk County Public School teachers and follows the Polk Public School calendar. 

Polk Virtual School offers a distance learning experience. Students are not required to be online at any specific time. Lessons are provided in a text versions and not in a video format. Assignments are given on a weekly basis. Once a student has completed assignments they are submitted for teacher reviews and graded. Grades for assignments are usually available within two days of being submitted. Teachers will offer feedback if needed and they are available to answer questions through email or phone. Courses require an average of one to two hours daily.
