We are your new publishers for this edition of Macaroni Kid and we are so excited to help you Find Your Family Fun®! We are a mother/daughter team and ready to get involved in our beautiful community while connecting families with events, activities and the local businesses that make our every day lives easier.
Many businesses in our area are our local friends, and neighbors and we want to help them be more successful by attending their events and activities since they are the heart of our local community and economy.
Our goal is to help every family find new and creative ways to get out of the house and enjoy family time together. No matter what family dynamic you may have, we will have something for you on our event calendar full of fun! We will do our best to keep it affordable and many events will be free, so keep an eye out for those!
We can't forget to tell you about the Amazing Give-Aways we have up our sleeves! Be on the lookout for our weekly email to be the first in-the-know of Fun Giveaways to Shows, Fairytale Princess events, Pumpkin patches, Train Rides and much more!
A little back story on us.
Vincenza (Vi)~ The Macaroni Mom: I have lived in Florida for the past 31 years with an exception of 2 years when we decided to try the Mountains out in North Carolina. Granted... the mountains are beautiful but my heart missed Florida. There is something to be said about being able to get outdoors almost every day of the year! My Florida blood could not handle the cold!
While in North Carolina, I became a publisher for Macaroni Kid! I loved it! I was always the mom in-the-know. My Mac Kids were able to attend so many events and we met wonderful people.
When we came back to Florida there were no local editions that were in need of a publisher. Flash forward to a year ago ...I became the publisher for the New Tampa-Wesley Chapel edition. I have two Macaroni Kids. Lexi who is expecting her first child... and I will be a first-time grandmother! And my son who is almost 19.
My likes and loves: I love to check out small Downtown areas, attend local events, flea markets, little shops, and Disney World (of course). I am a huge Music and Movie buff, and love to participate in BBQ's and get-togethers with friends and family. I can't forget my fur baby love... my silly, lovable rescue dog Rosie!
My Mac Kid Alexis (Lexi)~The Macaroni Daughter and soon to be New Mommy: is 21 and expecting her first Macaroni Kid! She grew up helping me at Macaroni Kid events, being my model for pictures, and just a lovely, happy girl who has grown up to be a beautiful and giving woman. She is 4 weeks away from having her baby girl Isabella... My Macaroni Kid -grandbaby! Soon we will be posting pics of her new little one- so get ready! Who can resist baby pics! We will be out and about in the community with Isabella and we hope to meet many of you! Below is a picture a few weeks ago at Lexi's baby shower. We were having some laughs with the "Guess the size of the preggie belly"!
Lexi is excited to be a new publisher and to create memories not only for her family but for yours as well. As we scope out family-friendly places to play, learn and eat, we will be sharing those experiences with you!
Lexi's likes and loves: Any animal! She has a huge heart for all animals. You can find her feeding squirrels, taking home stray dogs, and even putting a lost and wandering pig in a pen while posting all over Facebook to find its owner. Somehow all the animals find their way to her when they are lost. Can we say she is kind of like a Dr. DoLittle? She is an admirer of art and enjoys trying new crafts. Lexi is going to absolutely love using her photography passion when Isabella arrives ... so don't be surprised to see our Facebook page filled with the most adorable pics of Isabella playing and having fun around town!
